Presidential Executive Order on Enforcing Federal Law with Respect to Transnational Criminal Organizations and Preventing International Trafficking

This document orders the strengthening of law enforcement against transnational criminal organizations, particularly drug cartels. The order indications that federal agencies (specifically the Secretary of Homeland Security, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Director of National Intelligence) should collaborate and share information to meet these requirements.

Presidential Executive Order on Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers

This document orders the use of current laws and the creation of new laws to protect law enforcement officers, as well as increased penalties for violators of these laws. The Attorney General is required to plan, implement, and review strategies to protect law enforcement officers.

Presidential Executive Order on a Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety

This Order instructs the Attorney General to establish a Task Force to evaluate crime (particularly focused on “illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and violent crime”), and develop strategies to enhance public safety.

Providing an Order of Succession Within the Department of Justice

This Executive Order details the order of succession in the case that the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, or Associate Attorney General resign or are otherwise unable to perform duties. The three named replacements include the US Attorneys for the Eastern District of Virginia, Northern District of Illinois, and Western District of Missouri.
